In this activity, your students will learn what makes up an atom and what parts they plan within an atom! They will learn what an electron, proton and neutron is as well as what an atom is.
|Recommended Grade||3rd grade|
Absolutely everything is made of atoms! Atoms are the tiny, minute, minuscule, microscopic, nanoscale, infinitesimal, very small, little, mini, diminutive, miniature, not visible to the human eye, building blocks of all things.
Electrons are the parts of an atom that float around the center. Electrons have a negative charge. The center of an atom contain protons and neutrons. Protons have a positive charge. Electrons are not as tightly bound to the atom as the stuff in the center - so electrons can move.
