Project Description

Students use an invention kit called, a Makey Makey! to design a new feature for their keyboard. Makey Makey's will allow students to turn everyday items into a keyboard.

During this activity the students will get to learn how to set-up their stations instead of just play with them. This will give students the power to try and figure out how to make it work on their own independently. This will help teach your students to problem-solve and critically think.

Project Description

Students will have the opportunity to create an Ozobot track from scratch. In addition, it challenges students to create a story along with the track and give meaning to the codes they use. Students practice telling stories along with learning about "programming" robots.

Students will complete all 10 levels in the Makey Makey Beginner Challenges and at the end the students will create their own Makey Makey invention to share with their classmates. This will encourage the students to be creative and innovative. They will use their knowledge of the Makey Makey to complete all 10 levels.

This project is pure making. This will open your students up to making and what it is. It allows students to use every day items in a way they have not before! You give your students a "real-world problem" to solve by giving them a bag of random items. This will help your students to think outside of the box and give them a chance to be creative and innovative.
